There are some dishes that we eat as leftovers, such as stew, soup, chili and baked beans. I also like spaghetti, pizza and lasagna reheated. Most salads are also good the second time around, as long as they’re eaten within a couple of days. As for poultry, I dice leftover chicken and mix it with mayonnaise, chopped dill pickles and red onions (or grapes and walnuts) for sandwiches - and of course, there’s nothing better than a sliced turkey breast sandwich on Thanksgiving night. Sometimes I use leftover roast beef for stew, but most other meat that isn’t eaten the first time (pork chops, meat loaf, hamburgers or steaks) are served the next day to our 4-legged family members, along with their kibble.
