When we bought this developed acreage in 1992, development in this area was essentially non-existent. Consequently, we had less transiting traffic then than we do today. In truth, the volume of daily traffic isn't an issue; it's the speeding.
As I stated before the road is posted for 30 mph. It's considered (by the residents, at least) to be a residential area. I don't know how the road is defined by the county which maintains it (Hah, that's a joke!) MCSD deputies have upon occasion clocked traffic in excess of 60mph (many of those drivers discovered how costly their action was.)
Our major concern is for the pre-teen kids who ride their bicycles out on the road. There have already been some near misses between vehicles and kids (whose attention span makes a gnat appear intelligent) as well as horses and dogs that somehow escape fenced property. We just want these dumbass driver to SLOW DOWN!
