Another stupid idea

Looking at that, I know I'd slow down, or hit the brakes, depending on how fast I was travelling, or swerve. I suppose slowing down's the point, and I know I'm supposed to check for cars close behind before hitting the brakes, but still . . .
A dandy idea they've come up with in nearby Big City is cardboard cut-outs, life-size, of a cop with a radar gun. Looks real. In a city noted for its drive-by shootings, how long is it gonna be before some testosterone-, alcohol- and drug-fueled fool realizes that it's a fake and takes a shot at it? Considering the fact that *sometimes* there's gonna be a real cop standing behind the cardboard cutie, that's dangerous. Teen kids there do a lot of drive-by paintballing, too, so you can just see it coming.
