Good luck Bass. The first fire that hit us last month was the Summit fire above Santa Cruz/Gilroy/Los Gatos. To this day, night-time air patrols over the site still find hot spots. Now that ours are 'gone', we deal with the smoke from your area and the Humboldt/Tehama/Butte/etc. county fires north of us by as much as 300 miles. Yesterday's sunshine was eery in that it was a red/gold light. A serious reminder of what is going on in NorCal and what could still occur with so much time left before our normal rainfall is due.
