I tend to choose my battles

If a lot of money is involved (maybe more than $50), I would probably complain and demand satisfaction, but if the monetary issue is small, I usually decide it's not worth my time to complain, but it depends on what it is.
Recently, I bought a couple boxes of those Glad Force Flex trash bags - the ones they advertise holding the broken piano parts in the commercial. Well, let me tell you, those bags are SHITTY! We tried to use them for trash we were hauling out of my parents' flooded basement, and almost every bag we tried to use tore or something broke thru, or the seam ripped out.
I could have complained to the company, and demanded a refund, but I decided it just wasn't worth my time. The odds of them changing the bags are very small.... it's not like GLAD is suddenly going to pull them from the shelves because they don't live up to their advertised use... and for the few dollars I would have gotten back, it just wasn't worth my time.
My punishment to them is to stop buying their products.
