Maybe THAT is the problem. Let me explain. If the GTovernment keeps a database of DNA they could search MY DNA, fishing for evidence against me, that matches my profile. If profiling is illegal as they say it is, it's illegal even if it's a DNA profile. The police can't search your gym bag without a warrant. Why should they be able to search my body fluids without a warrant.
Warrants are safety measures Constitutionally approved by a judge, whose jobe it is to decide on the presence of probable cause so the Government can't just enter and search at will. DNA is property.
