Bob.. I'd give a good bit to be perceived as 3/4's of my actual age. Many would. To look younger than one is, after a point, is a compliment to many.

I HAVE referred to a woman on the phone as 'sir'. It was embarrassing for me, but it happened. Voices are not something you can do much about unless you work hard at it. How about answering the phone as "Hello, this is Bob", so you nip the problem in the bud?
Ever since you were Jhonny, I've seen most folks here try to give advice that could well help deal with your issues... short of professional counseling, anyway... but you seem to have problems accepting that advice, a great deal of which is on the mark.
You gotta find a way to accept those things you cannot change and stop making things so hard for yourself, in my opinion. If one finds oneself in a hole, it's time to stop digging.
