Re: There's a question here

I don't complain generally, and I should Particularly to airlines, because yours is one of several stories I have heard where the complaint has resulted in significant compensation.
Although not a complaint, however, I recently scored a small triumph with a famous American magazine to which I have subscribed for several years. My subscription expired and I could not afford the renewal for a now foreign subscription. A couple of weeks ago they sent me an email ad offering renewal for $34.95 (domestic) -- it's $112 foreign. In the ad and they had mis-used the verb "pour". One of the teaser question they asked in a bid to get me to re-think my non-renewal was do I "Pour over fiction and poetry". I wrote back and said that I never pour anything over the fiction or poetry unless it is when I accidentally knock over my coffee or tea. I do however pore over the fiction and poetry, which is the main reason why I used to get their magazine. I proposed that as my proof reading had likely saved them embarrassment in future mailings, I should be rewarded with a free renewal. They didn't go for a free subscription, but yesterday I got word that they would give me a one time renewal for $26 for the year -- roughly 25% of full price.
My cheek is rarely so handsomely rewarded!
Clyde.
