20 years ago, in Groton Ct, there was an X-rated drive in. We thought it bizarre - it was right off the freeway as you came into town, and those zipping by were treated to a brief view of breasts bigger than their cars (among other things). About 1990 it became yet another big box store.
Until I lived there it never occurred to me outdoor adult films and conservative New England towns could coincide.
