I don't understand why you are pressing this viewpoint. Here is an identical argument-- You are dead so you don't care, so why would you be concerned now if some distant relatives, your neighbors, and the federal government decided that your estate should be used for ... whatever, instead of honoring your wishes that your son should inherit it. This choice might make many people happy instead of just one.
I have some very strong ethical views regarding funeral and burial practices and have passed them, and are passing them, on to my children and grandchildren. I have no concern that they would not honor my current views, as I would honor theirs if (one of my main life fears) they would die before me. Therefore, this issue is not a problem for me.
I don't care if after I am dead there is anyone, related or not, who would feel better with their preferred death practices instead of mine. This is because they would be violating my trust and my Living Will document.
