fearsome predators in miniature

I keep going back and forth on this. I think my whole family would be in danger, especially the dog, who already gets it bad enough. I had a cat when I was in my teens that I might feel safe with.
I doubt most house cats would try to hunt their owners; most wild big cats don't. But if one would be unsafe with a trained big cat, then it only follows that a big house cat could be a danger. On the one hand, it is domesticated. OTOH it would have no idea of what it was capable of, if it suddenly got big.
Anyway, I think it is amazing that house cats do not distinguish themselves from these Bengal tigers, except with regard to their size. They are capable of being "man-eaters," as some Bengal tigers are.
