Nostra, you are getting gun shy. Just after we had purchased a yellow lab pup, Mrs. Bass got her first research grant. We couldn't decide on a name, so we called him Grant. When Grant was very old we got him a pup to raise and I decided to name him Sherman after the smart dog in the Rocky and Bullwinkle show. Unfortunately, I had forgotten that Sherman was the little kid and the dog was Mr. Peabody (so I already have the name of the next dog). We brought both dogs in when Sherman got his first shots and the vet said "here come the northern generals." I hadn't even thought of that, but is was probably subliminal because we were in West Virginia at the time, and the State came into existence when it broke off from Virginia during the Civil War.
