Sounds like exactly what I had. Now the bookcase is empty, the remaining few are stacked in the living room awaiting arrival of new furniture. The "in good shape" ones are boxed and ready for pickup by recycling folks, who also run a pretty good warehouse store with a huge variety of items. From toilets to toys. At least I know they'll be going to good homes. It was hard to do. But it's time in my life to downsize.
