I have four large card boxes full of recipes that I’ve collected over the years, including dozens that were passed on to me by my mother. She was a superb cook and baker, so her recipes are like culinary gospel to me. As a bonus, they were all handwritten in my mom's beautiful script, which makes them even more special and dear to my heart.
In recent years, when I'm interested in trying something new, I look for recipes online and have found several gems. I can pretty much tell by the ingredients and directions whether or not a given recipe is something I'll like.
