Dozens. But like charliie, we use a few of them a lot, some only occasionally, and quite a lot of them never. I have a Peruvian cookbook I bought in Lima in 1970, and I think I've used it once. And a dessert cookbook I bought in Rome, Dolci per un anno, which has a dessert recipe for every day in the year, from which I think I've used about two recipes. And then there's the very handsome St. Francis Hotel Cookbook from 1911, which I have never used.
