Canada's going, too. After all, we only have two national TV networks, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, the CBC (still owned in some strange way by the government, and originally a radio network designed to help bind us together as a country and preserve our culture) and Canadian TV, CTV. But the majority of our programs originate in the US, so, as goes Uncle Sam, so goes Bucky the Beer-Lovin' Beaver. With apologies to my Canadian compatriots. It was a touch of humour.
Because we have only two TV networks and American TV signals only reach a relatively short distance beyond the border, there are very few Canadian homes that don't have either cable or satellite. I mean, who wants to watch professional curling from Seal Flipper Bay, Newfoundland?
