I'm confused. Are these the number of crimes or the number of felonies? I mean how do you get convicted of that many felonies and still be walking around? I know Canada is supposed to be somewhat more lenient with criminals, but damn.
Here (TX) a felony conviction has automatic sentencing guidelines; a minimum of 5 years to a maximum of 99 years. But the second one is a minimum of 10 years to a maximum of 99 years, then a minimum of 15 years to a maximum of 99 years, then a minimum of 20 years to a maximum of 99 years. So by your forth conviction you've already got a minimum of 50 years. Technically they can give you probation instead of prison but if you're committing additional felonies that violates parole and means you finish the sentence in prison & probably don't get probation for the subsequent ones.
