fears re relationships

hi all,
thank you all for responding to my previous posts. sorry if no comments back, but i do read all your posts and consdier them, so thank you.
my worry: if a guy wants to spend time on his own after work, drinks and says going out for a wihle (coupla hrs. or less), why do i worry he may be seeing someone? i know best thign could be to ask directly, but i;d done that before, plus was told if someone was seeing someone, they of course wouldn't admit it...
then i felt like he may have hid his ring, but know he went out to make a 420 purchase, so maybe didn't want to be seen w/jewelry on...saw him search pockets for ring but didn't notice if it was on or not. am i right to feel worried a bit, othrewise things seem fine and all. but is it regular, guys and gals, for the guy *or gal, for that matter) to want to spend time alone (this is 2nd time it's happend) seems to be once/month type of thing...feel free to email if any thoughts too, much appreciated.
