The French novelist Honore de Balzac wrote a hilarious book -- a sort of takeoff on the Decameron -- called Contes Drolatiques (or Droll Tales.) They are supposedly stories from Touraine in the middle ages, but were in fact composed by Balzac himself in 19th-century Paris.
One of the stories is about the French royal court. A game is proposed. All the men stand behind a curtain and stick their penises through small holes. It is then the task of their wives/mistresses/girlfriends to identify them. Very funny.
