"She's already researched all the usual sources" that it would be understood that the research included web searches. I don't mean this to sound snarky, but I didn't want to go into details like "She's telephoned a, b, c, and d. She's e-mailed e, f, and g. She's gone to websites h, i, and j. She's had appointments or meetings with k, l and m." Please understand that I don't "mean to be mean" but I thought my post was pretty clear. After all, our communications here on the forum are in the cyberworld, so I think that it's reasonable to expect that the person who made the original response to my post would have realized that the searching-out of information and support websites was one of the the first things she did, or that if she didn't have the capability for some reason, I would have done it for her. I think that's a pretty reasonable expectation for most people in developed nations who are seeking this type of information.
And I do not understand why whether she knows or doesn't know that this is a sexuality forum has any bearing on the issue. I didn't post in "Sexuality." The way in which I interpret the "Forum Basics" says (to me) that this is an appropriate place to raise the issue.
Honestly, I'm starting to think that I need to start channeling Johnny Cochrane to proof and edit my posts. He's probably got some time on his hands these days, and I'll bet it wouldn't count as billable hours. :-)
In order to avoid any more forum bloodletting, I'm just gonna crawl back into the hole I've basically been occupying for the last week or so.
So for others who may read this, please do what some other forum members have already done--contact me by e-mail.
Please, let's not have another forum squabble.
