where do you want to be in 5,10,15 years?

This age old question that employers or self-help gurus ask is very annoying.
I caught myself thinking about this question in a different aspect. In 14 days I move into the late 30s bracket. It sunk in that the one aspect of my life that I thought I should have reached by now, I did not. I found myself really feeling like a failure (more than I usually do) Granted, I have been working overtime like a crazy fool, and I am working on lack of sleep, so that in itself should have told me that I am probably making more of this than I should.
So has anyone ever really achieved the goals they set for themselves by the time they wanted to have achieved them?
(where I am right now is not really bad by all means, and lots of things can change in just one single year, so here's hoping next year does not come with crisis of age and time)
