down memory lane. Went through Des Moines many times during my time in the Seattle area, but never knew that the immortal Jimi had ever been there, nor the Castle. Recognized so many of the names on the website. I was very sad when Henry Hudson Elementary School in Vancouver, BC, across the street from St. Paul's Hospital, was torn down. Jimi lived with his grandmother in Vancouver for some time as a kid, and attended school there. I wonder what happened to the plaque by the door that noted that fact? Probably in the archives of the Vancouver City Museum. A lot of we Canadians won't ever be as cool as Jimi (whoever *could* be?) but we are proud that he lived here once. God, I miss "back in the day" and when Jimi was here.
