Actually, friend Redshoes69, the Spanish Castle that inspired Hendrix's classic tune was a fair bit more attainable than most "castles in Spain" (as I and our well-informed Forum brethren and sistren obviously knew; well done, folks), at least before April 1968: that was a night club in Des Moines, WA, just south of Seattle, that provided a major part of the high-school-aged Hendrix's musical education, including formative live jamming experience -- and once Route 5 was built, it no longer took half a day to get there, whether by car or by [ah] dragonfly (as it were ?;-) ). Alas, as with many other great R&R landmarks, it was demolished (in April 1968, here).
