I don't think it is negative as many people, including myself, like to close their eyes for periods as I find it enhances the other senses even more. I actually enjoy being blind folded during sex but only on occasion.
I admit that I do love to watch my lover too, especially as he nears orgasm. Being in the missionary position with him over me and looking right into his eyes as he cums in me is one of the hottest parts of sexual intercourse, in my view.
