I don't think either one of them are interested in a specific M/M relationship, nor in having sex with each other without a woman being part of the mix. So I'm not sure if that affects the definition of "bi" or not. (It seems to me that in order to be defined as "bi" one would have to be willing to or interested in being alone in an encounter with someone of the same gender?)
In the case of women who would be involved with another woman in the context of a threesome but had never been with just a woman and had no desire to I've heard the term heteroflexible used, but I'm not aware of it being used with men in similar cases. I think in those cases the term bi is most common.
