As I have noted before, the number of interactions among n people is proportional to (n-1)!. This is a number that increases very rapidly with increasing n. [For the unwashed, n! = n(n-1)(n-2)...(2)(1)]
Since the interactions have to be mostly if not entirely favorable, the difficulty of having a satisfactory n-fold relationship rises rapidly with increasing n.
But hang in there; persistence often pays off.
