I think the situation you describe is wonderful but from my experience it is not the norm.
When someone seeks information on this topic I think it best to prepare them for the basic level and I feel "all about sex" is the way to start.
Should feelings develope beyond that in time..great but I think it is rare and very rare to feel that way from the get go.
