I think the situations poly and kinky people find themselves in while dating can sometimes be good for a laugh at oneself.
Someone I have been dating, told me a story about how a family get-together was delayed because his brother and the brother's gf were in some sort of "relationship crisis" that neither really seemed comfortable discussing, even to explain there absence. Turn out that the lady had found that her beau had been using internet porn and felt that this indicated a serious problem with the relationship. My friend smoothed things a bit by explaining that all men look at porn, no big deal.
The funny part is that the first time this gentleman had me at his home, I found his Fleshlight out on his bathroom sink. I was being a bit forward and persuasive, so I don't think he was planning on having me over so soon after meeting and was unprepared. Needless to say, he was embarrassed, but I didn't have any problem with that.
