A valid point. However, the reason I am writing this is because many people not only think open marriages aren't for them, but think that they aren't for ANYONE. I've been questioned by people who feel that my choice is wrong- not wrong for themselves- which they have every right to determine for themselves- but wrong for everyone.
That is the audience this debunking is meant for- people who are inclined, through lack of knowledge and understanding of open relationships, to judge the people who are in them.
I just hope it's possible to at least educate people about alternative lifestyles. That doesn't mean the have to adapt them. It only means they will be less prejudiced and more understanding the next time they happen across one.
