Most people in Open marriages are not "wandering around looking for random fucks". When you say things like that, you perpetuate some of the myths about promiscuity and cheating.
Anyone can have multiple partners. To make an open marriage WORK for everyone involved takes a stronger committment to the original partnership and a higher level of trust and respect than many people have the emotional maturity to handle. Making an open marriage work is a big responsibility. That's why some see it as a higher level of relationship evolution. People who are emotinally immature have difficulty handling an open marriage.
