Yes, I agree with you. I have already posted numerous research foci on the subject. They seem to indicate neuroanatomy.
There is not much interest in the research and consequently not much money to be had, according to one noted scientist, Milton Diamond (sorry for using Wikipedia, but it had the shortest biographical sketch).
I had the great fortune to meet him, several years ago.
