Question for Isadora/re Bob's HIV post
|
| |
I had a hard time getting a straight answer from a cursory web search, but isn't it true that a single act of intercourse with an HIV infected (as opposed to just HIV +) individual gives only a very small chance of acquiring the infection? The chances are less for transmission from infected woman than from infected man, isn't that true?
This in no way is meant to be the slightest reason not to practice safer sex in all casual contacts, only perhaps to reduce anxiety about the act if it does occur.
