I just had my first professional bra fitting for myself and my teen daughter after hearing that "90% of American women wear the wrong size bra." I considered myself to be a C cup and my daughter to be a near A. The fitter told me that I am a DD and my daughter is a B. Looking at how the bras we got fit, I whole-heartedly believe her. However, all the bras available in this department store (Nordstrom) were in the $50-$60 range. Stores with more affordable merchandise do not offer fitting service. I get the feeling that the premium is on availability of quality and service, as opposed to real costs of production.
